Terms of use
Last updated: 17 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Mock Room when you use the app. By creating an account you accept them. They are short on purpose; please read them.
What Mock Room is
Mock Room lets you take practice versions of the IELTS Speaking test with an AI examiner and get estimated band scores and feedback. Mock Room is independent: it is not affiliated with or endorsed by IELTS, the British Council, IDP or Cambridge University Press & Assessment. Our scores are estimates made by AI to help you practise. They can be wrong and they are not official IELTS results, so don't rely on them for decisions such as booking or skipping the real test.
Free use and limits
Mock Room is free while it is in early access. To keep it fair and affordable, each account can take a limited number of tests in every 24 hours (shown in the app). We may change limits or features, and we may introduce paid plans in the future; we won't charge you for anything without your clear agreement.
Your account
- Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- One person per account. Don't share accounts or create several to get around the limits.
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live (or have a parent's permission).
Your recordings and results
Your recordings, answers and results stay yours. You allow us to store and process them (including sending them to the AI services described in our privacy policy) only to provide the service to you. Only record your own voice; don't upload other people's speech without their permission.
Fair use
Please don't:
- try to break, overload or get around the security or limits of the service;
- use automated tools to take tests or collect content;
- copy and republish our questions, examiner recordings or other content as your own;
- use the service for anything unlawful or harmful.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Our content
The questions, examiner recordings, design and software of Mock Room belong to us or our licensors. You can use them for your own practice.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep Mock Room useful and running, but we provide it "as is". We can't promise it will always be available, error-free or that it will raise your real IELTS score. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you have paid us (currently nothing). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law.
Ending
You can stop using Mock Room at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to hello@mockroom.app. We may stop offering the service; if we do, we'll give you reasonable notice where we can.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. If a change is important, we'll tell you in the app or by email, and continuing to use Mock Room means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Questions? Write to hello@mockroom.app.
